Three Main Degrees:

Adjective  are categorized into three main degrees: positive, comparative, and superlative.

1. Positive Degree:

   – The Positive degree shows quality of an object without reference to any other.

   – **Example**: tall ,honest, happy, bright ,beautiful.

2. Comparative Degree:

   – This form is used to compare two nouns, which shows  that one has more or less of a quality than the other. It often ends in “-er” or uses “more” before the adjective.

   Examples:

     taller (from tall)

     happier(from happy)

     more beautiful (from beautiful)

3. Superlative Degree:

   – This degree shows the highest degree of a quality among three or more nouns. This degree typically ends in “-est” or uses “most” before the adjective.

   Examples:

     tallest (from tall)

     happiest (from happy)

     most beautiful (from beautiful)

Positive: The mountain is tall.

Comparative: This mountain is taller than that one.

Superlative: This is the tallest mountain in the region.
